The Difference in Boys and Girls

What I see as a large difference in males and females is the way we are socialized.

Boys

·         When deciding who will be leader in a social group choose their hierarchy by physical strength.

·         Settle disputes with acts of physical aggression.

·         Are taught emotions that often evoke crying or tears should not result in shedding the tears, rather its more suitable to respond with anger.

·         Its not acceptable to hit girls.

·         Be a winner no matter what it cost and never give up.

·         Be loyal to friends but always be your own person.

Girls

·         Decide on hierarchy with manipulation or diplomacy.

·         Settle disputes with conversation.

·         Are taught its acceptable to cry when emotions bring tears.

·         Be good at what you are good at.

·         Fighting is unladylike and unacceptable.

·         Be a loyal friend even if it means self-sacrifice.  Being a people pleaser is important and will make you popular.
